DisPLAY II — Jewellery & Accessories

Playground London featured some young independent designers for a Christmas Pop-up on 8th and 15th December. Opening with designers present and refreshments provided will be Fri 7th December from 6pm onwards.

At DisPLAY visitors have the chance to see and buy work from new multiple designers, makers and sculptures – a not-to-be-missed and unique opportunity to buy a gift for friends, family and yourself this Christmas season.

Giulia Manzoni
is an Italian graduated Mosaicist from the Mosaic School of Spilimbergo (Italy) where she gained a complete mosaic education spanning from history and design to fabrication and installa tion. Besides her restoration work i.e. at the Victoria & Albert Museum, she also works on bespoke mosaic products.

Emmely Elgersma
is a sculptor, ceramist and painter. She exhibited in this years Royal Academy 250th Summer Show and at the Art Car Boot Fair. She works mostly with unconventional materials like paper mache, reflecting her subjective vision and how it stands in the universal framework. Her works seems absolutely serious and utterly unserious at the same time.

Sabine Roth
works with human’s perception in her jewellery. The designs are characterised by a combination of strong shapes combined with a serene lightness of movable chains which allow the designs to dance on the body. Stephanie Kahnau
and her Munich based label with the same name creates clothes and jewellery designs impressing with puristic and reduced shapes. They are all refined by textile finishing processes, such as silkscreening, digital printing or dyeworks. Results are individually hand-printed unicums which have their focus on the material and textile techniques.

designs delicate sophisticated jewellery pieces. Minimal and classic silhouettes surprise with sophisticated details – timeless jewellery with a love to detail and a modern twist.

Unit Lab
based in Peckham, South-East London, designer duo Cindy Strobach and Mike Vanis make products that take science out of the lab and bring it into people’s daily routines.
