Jule Waibel combines unfolded furniture, fashion and installations with focus on geometric shapes. For her first solo exhibition at Playground as part of the London Design Festival she created Unfolded Landscapes, a room-filling, unwinding, playful installation of objects and sculptures.

Jule Waibel combines unfolded furniture, fashion and installations with focus on geometric shapes. The RCA graduate creates experimental pleated objects, garments and accessories. For her first solo exhibition at Playground as part of the London Design Festival she created Unfolded Landscapes, a room-filling, unwinding, playful installation of objects and sculptures (see London Design Festival's website entry). During a three-hour workshop Jule also showed the steps to create one of her iconic key rings.

Jule Waibel wants to unfold the universe. She is obsessed with pleated patterns and transforming structures with which she creates design objects, interior, fashion and installations. She playfully combines objects, art and performance with a strong focus on geometric shapes, transformation and aesthetics, adding emotion, surprise and humor. Her work is influenced by the geometry and simplicity of the Bauhaus.
